Evacuated Tube Solar Hot Water Heating
How do they work?
Evacuated tubes are a relatively new solar technology in Australia. Instead of having a flat panel collector, a number of tubes (20 or 30) are connected to a manifold. Evacuated tubes are round so therefore have more exposure to sunlight. They have exposure from mid morning to mid afternoon when the sunlight is strongest.
The are lightweight and easy to install and have an inherent freeze protection. They are designed like a split system with the tubes mounted on the roof and the storage tank on the ground.
They are extremely slimline and modern and they suit any roof line.
